DriveMaroc is a marketplace connecting customers with verified local rental companies in Morocco. Payment is always collected at pickup — we never charge your card. These terms define our roles and your rights.

1. Acceptance of Terms

By accessing or using DriveMaroc (www.drivemaroc.com), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree with any part of these terms, you may not use our service. These terms apply to all visitors, customers, and rental partners using the DriveMaroc platform.

DriveMaroc reserves the right to update these terms at any time. Continued use of the platform after changes constitutes acceptance of the new terms.

2. Service Description

DriveMaroc is a car rental marketplace that connects customers seeking to rent a vehicle in Morocco with verified local rental companies ("Partners"). DriveMaroc acts as an intermediary platform and is not itself a car rental company.

When you submit a booking request, it is sent to all available Partners in your selected city. The first Partner to accept becomes your rental provider. The rental contract is directly between you and the Partner — DriveMaroc facilitates the connection but is not party to the rental agreement.

3. Eligibility

To use DriveMaroc and rent a vehicle, you must:

•Be at least 21 years of age (some Partners may require 23+)

•Hold a valid driving license (an International Driving Permit is strongly recommended for non-Arabic/French speakers)

•Possess a valid passport or national identity document

•Have a valid payment method

•Not be prohibited from entering into legally binding contracts

By submitting a booking, you confirm that you meet all eligibility requirements.

4. Booking Process

Submitting a booking request on DriveMaroc does not guarantee a confirmed rental. Your booking enters a pending state until a Partner accepts it.

Once a Partner accepts:

•You will receive an email and/or SMS confirmation

•A booking reference number is generated

•Your booking status becomes "Confirmed"

DriveMaroc will attempt to match your request within 2 hours. If no Partner accepts within this window, you will be notified and the request cancelled at no charge.

5. Payment Terms

DriveMaroc operates on a pay-at-pickup model. No payment is charged by DriveMaroc at the time of booking. Full payment is collected directly by the rental Partner at the time of vehicle pickup in Moroccan Dirhams (MAD).

The price displayed during booking is an estimate based on currency conversion from MAD at the time of viewing. The final amount payable is the MAD price shown in your confirmation. Exchange rate fluctuations between booking and pickup are the responsibility of the customer.

Some Partners may require a refundable deposit (typically MAD 500–2000). Deposit terms are set by the Partner and will be communicated at pickup.

6. Cancellation & Modification

Customers may cancel or modify their booking free of charge by contacting DriveMaroc via WhatsApp (+1 623 312 4486) or email (hello@drivemaroc.com) before the scheduled pickup time.

•Cancellations made more than 24 hours before pickup: Free, no charges.

•Cancellations made within 24 hours of pickup: Subject to Partner's individual cancellation policy (which will be communicated at booking confirmation).

•No-shows (failure to appear at pickup): May incur a cancellation fee as determined by the Partner.

DriveMaroc reserves the right to cancel any booking in the event of fraud, eligibility issues, or force majeure events.

7. Partner Rental Terms

The actual rental agreement — including insurance coverage, fuel policy, mileage limits, additional driver fees, and penalties for damage — is governed by the rental contract issued by the Partner at pickup. Customers are responsible for reading and understanding this contract before signing.

DriveMaroc is not liable for disputes arising from the rental contract between customer and Partner. However, we encourage customers to contact us if they experience issues — we will assist in mediation where possible.

8. Customer Responsibilities

By using DriveMaroc, you agree to:

•Provide accurate and truthful personal information

•Return the vehicle in the same condition it was received

•Comply with all Moroccan traffic laws during the rental period

•Not use the vehicle for illegal purposes

•Not sublet or transfer the vehicle to a third party

•Report any accident or damage to the Partner immediately

•Not drive under the influence of alcohol or substances

Violations may result in loss of deposit, additional charges from the Partner, and suspension of your DriveMaroc account.

9. Limitation of Liability

DriveMaroc's liability is limited to the role of marketplace intermediary. We are not liable for:

•Vehicle mechanical failures or breakdowns

•Accidents, injuries, or damages occurring during the rental

•Losses arising from a Partner's failure to fulfil the booking

•Data inaccuracies provided by Partners (pricing, vehicle availability)

•Force majeure events including natural disasters, government actions, or civil unrest

Our maximum liability to you in connection with any booking shall not exceed the commission fees earned by DriveMaroc from that specific booking transaction.

10. Partner Terms

Rental companies joining DriveMaroc as Partners agree to:

•Maintain valid business registration and insurance in Morocco

•Only accept bookings they can genuinely fulfil

•Honour the vehicle category and price confirmed at booking

•Treat customers professionally and transparently

•Remit commission fees to DriveMaroc as agreed in the Partner onboarding agreement

•Not contact customers outside the DriveMaroc platform to circumvent commission

DriveMaroc reserves the right to suspend or remove any Partner who violates these terms.

11. Intellectual Property

All content on DriveMaroc including logos, design, text, and code is the property of DriveMaroc and protected by applicable intellectual property laws. You may not copy, reproduce, distribute, or create derivative works from any part of the site without our express written permission.

12. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the Kingdom of Morocco. Any disputes arising from these terms shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Marrakech, Morocco, unless otherwise required by applicable consumer protection laws in your country of residence.
